Income tax for working as a consultant in india

I have joined as Sr. Functional Consultant with a company in India. In my salary, they will be deducting PF and professional tax.

I would like to know, what are the income tax slabs for this. Is Rs.100000 saving also applicable for this category ?

Please provide details.

10 January 2013 It is your employer duty to calculate your tax liability and to apply TDS factor. Your employer must confront the working before they deduct tax.

Expert cannot work out your tax liability with the given information. It is to be worked on following informations:

a. Salary break up
b. City
c. HRA being paid by you.
d. Portfolio of Investment
e. Medical entitlement
f. Amount of Professional Tax
