Income tax exemption on medical allowance

I am a State Govt.Employee and getting Medical Allowance @ Rs.600/- per month (Yearly Gross Amt.Rs.7200/-).Last Month I have went to Apollo Hospital,Chennai for my medical treatment & spent about Rs.14000/- .Can I claim IT exemption on Medical allowance?if answer is yes ,then how? if answer is no,the Why?.Please help me.

Medical allowance is taxable while reimbursement up to 15,000 is exempt.
