29 December 2011 Hi Experts,
I was working for IBM for the last 3 years, in July 2010 I left the job and joined my uncles business. I used to pay Income tax when I was in IBM but now as I am into business helping out my uncle I get paid in cash.

So how should I go about paying tax as I want to make my Income Tax file?

Is there any way to procure the details via PAN No. about the Income Tax paid so far, so that I can fill the gap till date?

Please help me...

30 December 2011 What is the nature of the receipt? Is it in the nature of salary or consultancy or are you a partner with your income?

Provide these details and I can give you a better answer.

As for the tax paid till date, that can be viewed from Form 26AS on the income tax website.

well, I get only cash and no receipt, so in that any way out.

And please tell me the income tax slab, as I am getting 30K, link will be helpful.

02 January 2012 Income upto Rs. 1,80,000/- is exempt from tax.

Is your uncle deducting TDS from such payment?
