21 September 2012 WHAT IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRANSPORATION CHARGES & HIRE CHARGES

FOR EXAMPLE
I BOOKED A CAR FOR 3 DAY THIS IS HIRE CHARGES OR TRANSPORATION CHARGES

21 September 2012 Transportation charges paid for the purpose of sending of goods from one place to another place. Hire charges is paid for the purpose of using of such vehicle or item.

For example you want to shift your house from one place to another place and call a lorry to transport all your households to your new house it is transport charges and the deal complete by un-deliver of the households at the new house. In case you call a lorry to use for your purpose for a day(even though you use or keep it ideal) to use what you like. like for some time bought the goods from market, for some time drooping the friends and relatives etc.... i.e utilisation of the vehicle is not important. Required to keeping vehicle for your use purpose.

In your case in case you booked a car for 3 days for your use purpose i.e purpose of use not specified and paying charges per day is fixed then it is called Hire charges. In case even though purpose of use specified but the charges paying based on the utilisation say fixed rate per km or oil charges+some fee then it is CAR FAIR charges(transport charges using only in the case of transport of goods).
