Income of resident and ordinarily resident...taxability

09 January 2014 an assessee satisfies test for resident and ordinarily resident...
in fY 12-13 he has earned salary income outside (which has accrued and recived outside india)ie. foreign income
he has paid taxes in country of income..will he be taxable here in india again?????
country of job is mauritus

09 January 2014 1. yes, the total income would include the income earned outside India.

2. with reference to taxes paid in mauritius, you need to claim DTAA exemption. refer Section 90.
