Income from House Property

06 August 2010 Let A has two house x and z both self occupied. x has been occupied by his parents and y a new house occupied by himself.
what should he do to avoid tax.

He could gift x to his parents?
any other way?

Pls clarify.

06 August 2010 One person cannot be claim 2 houses as self occupied in the same time, any one house you need to treat as deemed to be let out

For taxsavings which house is coming high net annual value you can take that as self occupied,because assessee has right to choose the same
