14 June 2013 what are the consequences if iam not complete gmcs-1 within one year of articleship period

The consequences is not defined by Institute, its depend on them. They will dispense you from appearing in exam, if you are not completed GMCS in time or any other penalty.

14 June 2013 As per ICAI announcement given below

ICAI has notified that students who are registered on or after 1st may 2012 for articleship are eligible to do gmcs-1 course and they have to appear for this course in during 1st year of articleship..

But ICAI has not notified till todays regarding consequences that student should face in case of failed to attend for GMCS-1 in due time as notified
So i believe that there will be no serious actions from the ICAI against student defaulted.

It is not only you so many students are not able to complete GMCS-1 in time notifed so there will not be any problem from ICAI...and only icai can give you a reliable and confident suggestion to you in this case.

14 June 2013 You can get solution for your problem in following ways

1) you contact personally nearest gmcs centre or nearest ICAI regional branch of icai and ask them what are the consequences in this regard

2) you may call to icai chennai and ask them

3) you can contact icai through e-sahayata and ask them to give consequences in your case
