I am sanjay. I want to know that if I get the gift from my father or mother via cheque for aconsideration of Rs2500000/-in the year 2009, I have not prepared the gift deed at that time. Is it possible to make the deed today i.e. in the year 2011.
Secondly, it needs to be notorised or not. Kindly confirm. Kindly send the proforma of Gift deed in case of cheque recpt. Kindly help me out.
It is urgent.

28 September 2011 It is better to execute a gift deed now in plain paper since gift of movable property need not be in non judicial stamp paper. It should be signed by the donor and donee and to be witnessed by two individuals. Since it is in plain paper, I doubt the notarization by advocate. Pl see a draft.
