24 July 2013 My client is salaried govt. employee his income is around 3 lakh is it compulsory to file return? Plz reply thanks.

24 July 2013 yes, it is compulsory to file return as his income is more then basic exemption liimit.

He should file itr 2 if any exempted income is more then 5,000 like HRA etc else file ITR-1.
