Final registration and date of 1st attempt

Having passed ipc group 1 in nov 13 and group 2 in nov 14, i collected final registration form from icai.
I started articleship from 20th august 14.
But i heard from many people that i should not register now because of change in syllabus from may 16.
Question 1- When is my final due?
Question 2- Should i register now or later?

your final attempt if counted under current sturcture of training requiring completion of 2 years and 6 months of training then exam due is in may 17
