Filing online excise return mandatory

08 October 2011 Dear sir,

can u pls tell me what are the procedure for a traders for filing excise return who just passed out the excise duty from suplier to customer?

is it mandatory for e-filing for such a trader ?

efiling is mandotry for those assessee who paid more than Rs. 10 lkhs including cenvat as excise duty in preceding year therefore in such a case a trader does'nt paid any excise duty so he should'nt require e-file excise return.

pls solved it as early as possible....waiting

comunicate your email id to your Range officer, who will update your email id with ACES, and you will get a link which will lead u to generate login ID and Password, needed for e filing

There is no exemption for traders who are registered under central excise.
