Hi.... our company provides business outside india... to a company who is registered in USA. we recieve Rs.36 lakhs yearly. as in the nature of professional fee. can anyone tell me if we are liable for registeration and levying of service tax....???????

if the payment is received in convertible foreign exchange through proper banking channels, then no service tax payable on such services,
to get registered, you need to have 9 lacs of service billed or payment received (other than exports)
