Expenses allowed from voluntary contributions & donations

This query is : Resolved

12 December 2016 Hello all, i wanted to ask what expenses are allowed from voluntary contributions & donations received by an unregistered charitable society? also what would be the ROT applicable, will it be individual slab rate in AOP or a 30% flat? will it be allowed a 15% accumulation? also if we speak of application of income for charitable purpose will it be shown in income & expenditure account? pls share your views

12 December 2016 1. Expenses incurred to pursue the object and general and administrative expenses can be deducted for the income.

2, ROT is AOP rate.

3. 15% accumulation can't be claimed since not registered with IT dept.

13 December 2016 Thanks for the reply sir. i have suggested to not to file return of income and apply for registration retrospectively. also if we don't have records for donations of rs 100,500,1000,2000 etc will it be necessary for us to keep the record of each single donation?
