I am doing CWA inter, I have some clarifications in Charging Excise Duty.Pls assist me.

1 . At what Circumstances Goods become excisable?

2 . Goods must be movable & Marketable,but marketable means the particular products should be sale?

Pls send me the file related to basic excise duty .

01 June 2011 1. goods get excisable at the time of manufacture, i.e the identity of goods get changed as per CETA

2. excise is leviable on clearance, it may be sale, may not be, markatable means the goods has its own value in market, and is salable.
