Excise Duty

29 September 2009 I heared that excise duty is the part of the cost of goods manufactured. Is it correct? Pls send me detail.

30 September 2009 Well, the duty is based on transaction value of manufactured goods- in cases where there is no transaction, value is decided based on cost plus profit basis.

30 September 2009 Sorry Sir I didn't understand you I just want to ask that
Raw Mat Cost(Including input CENVET+input CST)+ Prod-Exp= Cost of goods manufactured
or
Raw Mat Cost(Including input CENVET+input CST)+ Prod-Exp+Output Cenvat= Cost of goods manufactured
or
Raw Mat Cost(Including input CENVET+input CST)+ Prod-Exp+Output Cenvat= Cost of goods manufactured

Please clarify me by giving me an example.
