16 November 2011 I want to lock particular cell on some event
and also unlock with other event.

i want to disable addition and deletion of any row and column from the sheet,formating of cells.

16 November 2011 In the 'Review' tab, select option protect sheet. Input a password.

16 November 2011 but i want user to enter values into cells. by doing this user is not allowed to enter values also.

i want to restrict user to edit particular cell if some particular condition is satisfied.

16 November 2011 On the changes tab in Review panel, select allow users to edit ranges. Do not input a password.

17 November 2011 Do not input a password in the 'range password'. leave it blank. then protect the sheet. the user will be able to input data in the range that you specify.
