RESPECTED SIR,
WHAT IS EXEMPTION LIMIT SERVICES TAX PAYABLE ON GTA. & WHAT IS PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION IN SERVICE TAX REGISTRATION.

GTA service is brought under reverse charge mechanism w.e.f 01.07.12. So,specified persons are made responsible for paying service tax. From your query we are not able to identify whether yours is a factory or company or individual or a lorry owner?
The exemption limit is 10 lacs. The RC has to be obtained on reaching the turnover of 9 lacs. The procedure is, go to www.aces.gov.in and create a password, userid and start filling the Registration form. You must hold a valid PAN number, address proof, and id proof, rent deed, constitution of business whether firm, company etc.,
There is no fees for registration. The RC will be given within 7 days.
