(Sorry for the delay...)
You can book it' normally as GENERAL EXPENSES.
But, If the value is huge then it is accountable in Asset head.
otherwise you can prepare separate ledgers as anyone of below:

->> Show Case Expenses

1. Accounting Treatment: For typical event photography costs, charge them as GENERAL EXPENSES, or under a specific marketing/advertisement ledger. If the value is substantial and the imagery yields lasting promotional value, consider capitalizing the cost as an asset and depreciate accordingly. 2. Tax (Income Tax) Aspect: Event photography qualifies as a valid business expense under Section 37(1)—provided it is ordinary, necessary, and incurred in the course of business. Proper documentation (invoices, service deliverables, purpose rationale) must be maintained. 3. GST Handling: The service attracts 18% GST, invoiced under SAC 998383 for event photography. If you are GST-registered, you can claim ITC on the GST paid, assuming the services were acquired for business use. Even when capitalized, ITC claim would follow the standard GST rules for capital goods/services.
