Ours organization is covered under esi. Recently an employee joint in our organization who is an ex military man. He availed ECHS(EX-Service man contribution health scheme) and submitted a written request to exempt him from esi contriibution. Is it possible to do so? if yes then what is the procedure to do so?

No, if ESIC applicable to your organisation you have to deduct Applicable ESIC, you can not substitute other facilities with ESIC Exempt will not be allowed for particular case. IT'S the responsibility to follow the rules and regulations.
