One of My Friend is working in a petroleum Centre and getting Basic Salary of Rs. 6028/-. Employer deducts EPF @12% Rs. 723/- and Employer Contributes only 3.66% of Basic Salary. So, My query is that, can employer contribute only 3.66% EPF. If yes then please let me know that is there any provision of Lower Contribution.

Its not so, balance 8.33% goes to pension A/c by employer.
So he also gets 12% also from employer.
