Quick Summary

If your company was required to issue e-invoices from April 2021 but hasn't, you can start issuing them now for current transactions. However, you cannot generate e-invoices older than two days on the portal. Failure to issue e-invoices is an offence under GST, attracting penalties of 100% of the tax due or Rs. 10,000, whichever is higher, and could lead to denial of ITC for your customers.

23 July 2021 As a company E-invoice was applicable to us from 1st April 2021, however we have not generated E-invoice till now.

Query
can we now raise E-invoice from April till date ?
What is the penalty for not issuing E-invoice?
Any other view?

23 July 2021 Start issuing E invoice from now onwards.

Non-issuance of e-invoice is an offence under GST and thus attracts penal provisions. Below are some of the penalties for non-issuance of invoice.

Penalty for non-issuance of invoice- 100% of the tax due or Rs.10,000, whichever is higher.

23 July 2021 Issue e-invoice for April onwards now And start issuing it on time. Otherwise it will result in penalty on you and denial of itc to your customer.

26 July 2021 As on IRN portal you can not issue E-invoice not older than 2 days on portal. however, you can start from current date on B2B invoice. if any assistance required please feel free to contact at info.scajassociates@gmail.com
