What is the due date of Service Tax Return for the period 01.04.12 to 30.06.12 ? & what is the intt. rate of Service Tax if we have late for deposit of service tax for the period 01.07.12 to 30.09.12? and What is the due date of Service Tax Return for the period 01.07.12 to 30.09.12 ?

The due date of ST return for the period 01.04.12 to 30.06.12 is originally 25-10-2012, extended to 25-11-2012.
Int Rate for late payment of tax is 18%. Every person, liable to pay the service tax in accordance with the provisions of section 68 of the Act or rules made there under, who fails to credit the tax or any part thereof to the account of the Central Government within the period prescribed, shall pay simple interest @18% per annum. Interest is payable For the period from the first day after the due date till the date of payment of any defaulted service Tax amount. [Refer to Section 75 of the Finance Act, 1994]
Due date of ST return for the period 01.07.12 to 30.09.12 is not prescribed as new ST-3 forms are under process.
