Doubt- small shareholder director

This query is : Resolved

07 May 2017 As per S. 151 of co act 2013 read with rules, On the expiry of the tenure such director shall not be eligible for re-appointment. A small shareholders director shall not for a period of 3 years from the date on which he ceases to hold office as a small shareholdes director in a company , be reappointed in or be associated with such company in any other capacity , either directly or indirectly. Does this mean that a person can never be reappointed as small shareholder a company in which he had already held such position before?

08 May 2017 Reappointment as 'small share holders director' is impossible. Inference rule 9 of The Companies (Appointment & Qualification of Directors) Rules,2014.
