Whether TDS be applicable for payment made by a company to travel agency for booking ticket and hotel accomodation for its employees. If the company is having an agreement with Travel agency?.

08 February 2015 The provisions of section 194C do not apply to payment made to travel agents for purchase of air tickets for travel by air or by any other mode of transport of individuals.

Refer Question No. 6 of CBDT Circular 713 dated 2/8/1995.
