09 September 2011 IN HUF KARTA DIED LEAVING BEHIND FOUR MEMBERS
THREE MAJOR SON( UNMARRIED ) AND HIS WIFE.

THEN WHAT IS PAN NUMBER OF NEW KARTA WHETHER IT IS SAME OR NEW PAN TO BE OBTAIN?

OR

IF NOT THEN WHAT MODIFICATION TO BE DONE IN RESPECT OF OLD PAN DATA?

PLZ HELP ME

20 September 2011 The PAN of the HUF always remains the same.

As regards the Karta, his PAN will be the same he was alloted as an individual.

While filing income tax return, PAN of the new Karta will be mentioned in the return.
