Someone may please reply, if possible:

Query 1

Private Limited company declared final dividend on 30.09.13 (AGM Date), which is relating to FYE 31.03.13.

Which Assessment Year should be filled in Challan for DDT payment? Whether it is AY 2013-14 or AY 2014-15.

As per Income Tax Section 115-O, 14 days time limit (from 30.09.13) is available for making DDT Payment and if the company paid DDT Payment on or before 14.10.13, then, the company could not have filled the DDT Payment details in the ITR-6 of AY 2013-14 (if AY is 2013-14), as the due date for filing was 30.09.13.

Whether it is appropriate to fill the DDT Payment details in the ITR-6 of AY 2014-15 only?

Ans : 2014-15 by virtue of the wordings of Schedule-DDT, clause 2.
