Distinctive numbers

One company was purchased by my company in 2009, but the shares were not transferred till 31.3.2011.

From the MCA data i have retrieved the shareholders list as on 31.3.2011 from the annual return of the company.

Now i need to transfer these shares, but i do not have the distinctive numbers against the shares of the previous holders.

Can i transfer the shares bearing distinctive numbers starting from 1.

Plz help. The name of the company has also been changed after purchasing.

I will suggest you to make inspection at MCA portal and take the detail shareholding for the same and thereafter you initiate proceeding of transfer and purchase.

19 September 2012 I have made inspection at the MCA portal of the same and got the detailed shareholding pattern. In each year there are different folios and number of shares against each shareholder. There is neither any transfer details given in any of the annual returns.

Now if i use the data as given in anuual return 2011, can i re-number the distinctive numbers from 01 for the shares held against each shareholder.

Since it is not possible to track the distinctive numbers and earlier transfer detail.

Plz suggest.

Can you send the detail to i will try to make in order of the same as you want. Please send the all list of shareholding from inception of company.
