DIN based on passport of dual citzenship

13 October 2010 If the person is having dual citizenship and hence two addresses on the passport, to apply for DIN based on passport copy, which address should be considered? Plz. help ASAP.

If you have dual address passport, i will suggest to attache copy of certified address proof which has been underlined/marked and the same will be given in DIN form.

If there is any doubt, in that case make an affidavit and mention one address for taking into consideration for DIN purpose.

13 October 2010 If one of the address is of India, we can apply based on that address and if not of India, for any of the address we are underlining, the copy cerified by CA/CS/ICWA will do, am i understanding correct?

Did you / your client get DIN on the strength of affidavit in support of address. My understanding is MCA 21 will not accept affidavit for address confirmation.

In my earlier reply I said that, if there is any doubt, in that case you will file affidavit with DIN Cell to accept one address.

If the DIN is not approved on the basis of passport, then they can present the same.
