1. Building
1.1 Residential building other than hotels and boarding houses 5%
1.2 Office, factory, godowns or building - not mainly residential purpose 10%
1.3 Temporary erections such as wooden structures 100%

2 Furniture
2.1 Furniture - Any furniture / fittings including electricals fittings 10%

3 Plant and Machinery
3.1 Any plant or machinery and motors cars (other than those used in a business of running them on hire) acquired or put to use on or after April 1, 1990 15%
3.2 Ocean-going ships, vessels ordinary operating on inland waters including speed boats 20%
3.3 Buses, lorries and taxies used in business of running them on hire, machinery used in semi-conductor industry, moulds used in rubber and plastic goods factories 30%
3.4 Aeroplanes, life saving medical equipment 40%
3.5 Containers made of glass or plastic used as refills, new commercial vehicle which is acquired during Jan 1, 2009 and Sept 30, 2009 and is put to use before Oct 1, 2009 for the purpose of business / profession 50%
3.6 Computers including computer software. Books (other than annual publication) owned by a professional. 60%
3.7 Energy saving devices; renewal energy devices; rollers in flour mills, sugar works and steel industry 80%
3.8 Air pollution control equipments; water pollution control equipments; solid waste control equipments, recycling and resource recovery systems; (being annual publications) owned by assessees carrying on a profession or books (may or may not be annual publications) carrying on business in running lending libraries 100%

4 Intangible Assets
4.1 Intangible assets (acquired after march 31, 1998) - Know-how, patents,copyrights, trademarks, licences, franchises and any other business or commercial rights of similar nature 25%
