21 April 2011 depreciation rates for the a.y 2011-12
for following assests

1.typewriter
2.fax machine
3.computer system
4.furniture
5.motor vehicle
6.air conditioner
7. office equiptment

and also want to know if the purchase is made in the month of november and feb the dep will be charged for full year or half year

1.typewriter - 15%
2.fax machine - 15%
3.computer system - 60%
4.furniture - 10%
5.motor vehicle- 15%

6.air conditioner - 10%
7. office equiptment - 15%

if assets is used for more than 180 days than u shall claim dep. at full rate otherwise half rate
