28 June 2012 dear sir,
i want file income tax return for A Y 2012-13. I am a handicapped person having disability 50% approved by appropriate authority. But the certificate is certified on dated 30.06.2009,
i don't have fresh medical certificate, now can i claim deduction U/S 80U of Rs. 50000 and if not please tell me the procedure.

28 June 2012 If the condition of disability requires reassessment as per the certificate on hand(dated 30/06/2009), please obtain another certificate ,on the date specified therein, and accordingly claim 80 U ,if other conditions are satisfied, while filing the return of income for the AY 2012-13.

the disability is due to broken leg, sir please tell me can now i require a another certificate
