Company deposit Dividend distribution tax through chellan No.281 is it correct?.
And if not kindly advise the remedies for the same.

11 April 2015 Challan 281 is only for TDS. You should pay DDT by challan 280 and selecting the code 106

What is the remedies for the above mistake ? how can rectify this mistake?.

12 April 2015 The dept provided an option in tds portal i.e, 'request for refund' but,now it disabled due technical reasons.

Now, as per my opinion, the company should claim its as 'excess tds' and set against its tda liability or claim refund in its return.

04 July 2015 Dear Sir,

due to this mistake department raised the demand of tax liability through intimation u/s 143 of ITRS with the same amount of DDT .
