Current gst on drip irrigation equipments

21 November 2017 Dear Expert,

Could you please provide current GST rate for drip irrigation equipment? We are planning to get drip irrigation done for 5 acres of land in Karnataka. The vendor is saying GST as 18%. However there are some reference of GST being reduced to 12% on 09Sep.

Any reference for the same will be helpful.

The GST tariff rate on goods under HSN 8424 has been cut down as per GST council meet held on 09th September, 2017. The details of reduced GST rate on Sprinklers, Nozzles for drip irrigation equipment is as follows:

HSN number: 8424
Nozzles for drip irrigation equipment or sprinklers [mechanical appliances (whether or not hand operated) for projecting, dispersing or spraying liquids or powders]
GST rate before 09th September, 2017: 18%
Reduced rate of GST w.e.f 09.09.2017: 12%

As per the above rate has been reduced for nozzles for drip irrigation. For Pipes GST is still at 18%. Is this correct?
