23 August 2012 i am facing a problem in payiing security against cst , as per cst rules the superindentent can ask for a gaurantee money against a event so i have to pay him in cash and the money get blocked untill the assesment is done and it takes much time to get my refund as the ganrantee money is much higher than the tax amount and for that many officers demand money so do i have any other scope to evade the money security

The security amount need not be paid by cash only. There are mny other ways of fulfilling this condition i.e.by furnishing a bank guarantee,pledging a FD or a savings certificate,bonds or providing a security of some other dealer etc....MJK

28 August 2012 BUT THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM WE ARE FACING HERE IN ASSAM IS THAT THE SALES TAX OFFICERS DO NOT ACCEPT THE OTHER OPTION,AND GIVE SOME RUBBISH REASONS BECAUSE AT THE TIME OF REFUND THE AMOUNT AFTER DEDUCTING THE TAX THEY CREATE COMPLICATIONS AND DEMAND A SUM OR PERCENTAGE OF REFUND AS A BRIBE OTHERWISE THEY WILL NOT PASS THE REFUND AND CREATE MORE TROUBLE FOR US BY INCREASING TAX LIABILITY
