Criteria to get selected in a big4

i would like to know the criteria to get selected in a BIG4 for articleship. I have given my second attempt and I am awaiting results. Does clearing intermediate exams in first attempt an important criteria? waiting for your reply..
for direct entry..
you shud have Rank with good communication, presentation, command over english, good acedemic background, nice dressing
all dis matters coz u will be presenting them in front of big clientle.

Honestly other than the rank factor i guess i can kind of score well in the above criterias u have mentioned above. it's only in the intermediate level i was not able to give my best. Does that mean can't go for BIG4?
