09 April 2012 hi, as per notification given by ICAI on 23rd feb, 2012. as per the notification today 45 days is over. can you pls update wether it is implimented by today or further it will take some time.

18 May 2012 The exemption notification was stayed by ICAI a couple of months ago. Since then there has been no intimation regarding the same. Accordingly at present the notification is not in force.

21 May 2012 It is compulsory for EVERYONE to appear for and pass CPT.

There is no exemption from CPT.
