09 February 2016 A company engaged in providing RS-CIT training to learners through their IT-GYAN KENDRA. that company is a public company and their some stake hold by Govt.
My query is... Is that company covered under Table-A or Table-B for Cost Audit ???

09 February 2016 Education services covered under Table-B ( Non regulated sectors) only, so your company covered under Table B.

W.r.t. Point no:22 .The Companies (Cost Records and Audit) Rules 2014 covers “Education services, other than such similar services falling under philanthropy or as part of social spend which
do not form part of any business”.Any company imparting training or education by means of any mode is covered under Education Services. However, auxiliary services provided by companies, as a separate independent entity, to educational institutions viz., (i) transportation of students,
faculty and staff; (ii) catering service including any mid-day meals scheme; (iii) security or cleaning or house-keeping services in such educational institution; (iv) services relating to admission to such institution or conduct of examination are not included under Education Services. In case the educational institution covered under the Rules is providing the above auxiliary services as a part of their total operations, then the institution will be required to maintain records for such auxiliary services also.
