in case of business of engineering design, the computers used for design purpose can be treated as plant or it will be treated as computers only???

Debit in computer's account and claim depreciation @60% for income tax purpose.
Soft ware purchased along with computer can be debited in computer account.
Subsequent purchase of software is revenue expenditure and therefore, can be debited in computer upkeep account.

agree as assets and name would be same as computer and as per warrier sir depriciation & you can also debit related software to computer for your work in accounting.
