The Govt. Compulsarili acquired land in the year 1992-93. However compensation received in the year 2008-09. In between the assessee has died in the year 2006-07.now compensation received his legal heirs.
What about tax liability
What about tax liability

it will be taxable in the hands of legal heirs in the previous year in which it is received
