clubbing of income of second minor child

14 July 2008 Dear sir / madam ,
Iwant to know about clubbing of minors income in the hands of an individual also if there are two children of an individual and if the income the 1 st child is clubbed in the hands of the father and in later years the second child also derives the income now whose hands will the income of second child would be clubbed . will the income be clubbed in the hands of the father even if the gross total incoome of the mother in the year when the first time income of the second child is being clubbed is higher than that of father. Kindly clarify my doubts. Would also like to know the section under which the text appears for the same esp of second child

14 July 2008 The Income of the second child is being considered for the first time. The income will be clubbed with the income of that parent whose income is more. In the given example the income will be clubbed with that of the mother as her income in comparision to father's income is more.
