closure of partnership firm

Hi,
I have registered a partnership firm 7 years back, where in I discontinued business. But I neither inform this to local sales tax office nor filed any returns related to the business. Now I wanted to confirm if my firm will be alive or will be automatically closed by the concern authorities ?. I have not received any notice in this regards.Please clarify my doubt.

Partnership can be dissolve as per the agreement entered into between the partners.
