24 April 2017 Sir, one of the clients is running cinema theaters, wherein the theatre owner pays the distributor share of collection of the day in cash on daily basis,

Will this practice affect the after the introduction of sec 269ST.

24 April 2017 Section 269ST is attracted in the hands of receiver and not in the hands of assessee making payment, and 269ST is attracted If payment of more than Rs. 2,00,000 is given to a distributor in cash on a day

Note : 269ST will be levied on distributor
