can anyone tell why we do cash entry in journal mode(f7)

Cash entry is done either in receipt, payment or contra mode only.

In tally.... Go to configuration (F12)
Then choose the option : Voucher entry
Then select : YES, for "Allow cash Accounts in Journals"
