SIR,
I booked a flat in 2009 and paid the value of flat in advance and in August 2013 I paid final payment of flat and got registered in my name in August 20133, Now I want to sale out this flat in Jan 2014, Please clarify the Capital Gain it will be Short Term or Long term Capital Gain.

unfortunately short term.....till august 2013, you had a right in the house..only after 2013 the right became house property. the computation of holding period should be counted from august 2013.
