13 July 2013 I am registered for service tax but not having excise registration can i take excise input credit?

14 July 2013 You are registered for service tax.. ok. but not having excise registration. Yes, you can take excise input tax credit if such CENVAT materials are exclusively used for your output services.

In other words, service tax assessee can avail both excise as well as service tax input tax credit as long as it relates to output services.
