Can i get registration in service tax before its 9 lac?

21 February 2015 I am a service provide?, I have just started a business, as i know registration is required when
turnover exceeds limit of Rs 9 lac. I have not yet issued any invoice, if I take registration now,
what circumstances may be imposed on me

21 February 2015 You get registration when your turnover exceeds 9 lac and pay service tax when it exceeds 10 lac. If you get registered now you have to file periodical return.

21 February 2015 Seetharaman ji,After getting registration now, would it become mandatory to add service tax with the bills. because as u said periodical return is to be made.

21 February 2015 Not required until your turnover exceeds 10 lacs. Nil return has to be filed.
