Can i be insurance agent during articelship

24 November 2013 1. Can I act as an insurance agent for a public sector insurance company during articleship tenure ???? does ICAI get to know about it and also it is possible to do so....
insurance agent means just part time and little premium collections per month....

2. can a cpt passout do this insurance agent job as he is not in articles....

please let me know....

24 November 2013 1. It is advisable to avoid taking up any assignment during articleship as it is not permitted under ICAI regulations.

2. yes as long as you are not doing articleship, you may do so.

25 November 2013 You may take prior permission from icai in this case in form 112 and icai permits u can do both at 1 time.
