Deputy Manager – Finance

Job Description

1. Accounting & Books of Accounts
-Maintain accurate books of accounts for (day-to-day accounting,
journal entries, reconciliations)
-Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing
-Handle AR/AP, bank reconciliations, vendor payments, and expense tracking
-Ensure correct accounting treatment for inventory, refurb costs, and revenue
2. MIS & Financial Reporting
-Prepare monthly MIS including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
-Track unit economics, margins, burn, and runway
-Build dashboards for founders covering business and financial KPIs
-Support budgeting, forecasting
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
-Manage GST compliance (returns, reconciliations, audits)
4. Audit & Controls
-Coordinate statutory, tax, and internal audits
-Prepare audit schedules, workings
-Strengthen internal controls, SOPs
5. Business Finance & Founder Support
Work directly with founders on:
-Assist in investor reporting, diligence, and fundraising document
-Cost optimization
-Financial decision-making support

Skills Required

Maintain books of accounts

Perform bank reconciliations
Process vendor payments
Track business expenses
Ensure accurate inventory accounting
Prepare monthly MIS reports
Monitor P&L, cash flow and balance sheet
