Can defective return can be responded by filing revised itr

19 February 2018 CAN DEFECTIVE RETURN CAN BE RESPONDED BY FILING REVISED ITR as i filed ITR3 but it got defected u/s139(9) in lack of balance sheet and profit and loss which is not maintianed by me. whst to do then? i am having income from professional services to NGO

19 February 2018 yes you can file the revised ITR. Why dont you file your income under 44ADA if you are having the professional income

19 February 2018 IF I FILE REVISED RETURN THAN WOULD NO RESPONSE TO DEFECTIVE RETURN WOULD MAKE THE RETURN INVALID. I AM CONCERNED AS MY CLIENT IS HAVING 30000/- APPROX REFUND WITH RESPECT TO THAT RETURN.
