for assessment year 2009-10, net profit from business/profession is 228000/- for an individual(male) below age of 60 yrs. If submitting returns now, how will calculate tax and interest. (no adv tax paid and no tds)

In my view, now you cannot submit IT return for AY 2009-10. Please check it out. But for calculation of Tax and Interest you may get 234ABC interest calculator from Google search engine.
